Nestled in the heart of Yelapa, surrounded by vivid artwork and framed by the majestic beauty Sierra Madre Mountains. This Café is perched on a main street, just around the corner from the town pier. This spot makes a wonderful backdrop while you savour your meal you’ll be entertained by friendly dogs strolling by, donkeys ambling by, and the lively bustle of deliveries coming in.
Café Eclipse is a charming family-run restaurant offering a diverse menu of smoothies, coffee, frappes, freshly squeezed orange juice, traditional Mexican dishes, sandwiches, and plenty of breakfast and snack options, even a few Vegetarian options! They’re best known for their breakfast, which gets rave reviews.
They’re known for their delicious breakfast but since we already had breakfast we opted to have chips and salsa. The salsa was freshly made and is for sure one of the best salsas I’ve ever had. We also had cold lemonades which are great for the hot day in Yelapa.
A must-try dish is their huevos rancheros, which consistently earn accolades from satisfied patrons with its perfect blend of textures and flavours.
The restaurant offers covered outdoor seating with colourful decor, echoing Yelapa’s lively spirit perfectly. The staff were very friendly and helpful, enhancing the dining experience. They only take cash here, and there are no ATMs on Yelapa so be sure to bring enough cash for your food, tips, boat ride back, and any irresistible souvenirs you find in Yelapa!
They have lightning-fast internet too, so if you’re a digital nomad looking for a place to get some work done, Café Eclipse makes a wonderful temporary office!
As you plan your trip to Yelapa, let Café Eclipse be your choice for breakfast to start your trip right, promising an unforgettable start to your day. I’m already dreaming of visiting Yelapa again to try more of Café Eclipse’s mouthwatering food.
